Stolen Board

This board was stolen a while ago, but just putting this up in case anyone has seen it.  If you have seen it or run into the chump riding it, please let me know, or do what you gotta do!

Thanks

Master Shaper - Mikey Myers

Trip to South Africa;  Location: Jeffreys Bay; Swell; ankle biters.
With no swell,  Joel and I harassed all the local shapers until someone let us dumb Canadians in.   Joel Harris (on the sander) and your truely (behind the lens) were welcomed into Mikey Myers facility.   Joel was working on a kneeboard for another local who we had met at Country Feeling.  Mikey has been doing this for decades and spending a day with him is like spending ten years trying to figure things out on your own.  He offered to let us stay for a few days, but we had to move on.  Also big thanks to Thys Strydom of Rebel Surfboards who  was also very welcoming and opened up his shop to us.

Local Hospitality

A client recently returned from a year in Oz with a beautiful Darcy custom.  The local baggage handlers at the airport in Sydney decided the board could use some "modifications".    The board now bears the scares of the torture, but will live on to surf again.

Random Doodle

My good friend Kurt Yonder (aka "The Horned One") and aspiring Tattoo artist whipped this up for fun.  Skull, Waves and Respirator.   What else could you ever need?

Groundhog Day

The forecasted storm of the century never materialized, however, it did bring with it some serious winds and some decent swell on the lakes.   A few brave souls actually made it out.   Yours truly stayed warm and dry.    What looks like dirt in the foreground is actually brown ice balls in a semi-solid state.  Not an easy entry or exit from the water!  Thanks to Gold Coast Surfer (JA) for the pics.
