Rainbow Fin Co./Lok Box Quads

Black Swan - Retrospective Part 1

After design of the Black Swan surf kayak on BoardCAD, the next step was to hot-wire the rocker and deck profile, followed by the outline template from a large EPS billet.

Being the mad molecular biologist that I am, we have injected some Willer Surfcraft DNA into this new little (5'4") groveller called "The Humpty".    I am not ashamed to say that the parental DNA is derived from Firewires' hot Sweet Potato board.   What the customer wants is what the customer gets.   Sick double barrel concave, nominal nose rocker, flat deck and performance rails.  

   Will fly in the smallest of surf.  

Lakesurfing Hits the BigTime

Freshwater Lakesurfing must be bigger than I thought.   We are now LEGIT.   I just flipped through the new LandsEnd Catalog with my kids, only to find all of their boys rashguards and t-shirts with Lakesurfing graphics!  If only they had adult sizes.    I guess the graphic design team at LandsEnd rides on freshwater planks.  Get you kids some new duds.......

LoxBox in the House!!

Shapers: Geneology of the last century

Interesting family tree of surfboard shapers from the January 2006 issue of Surfing.  I found this in the deep bowels of my computer.  Take it with a grain of salt, but it includes 720 shapers over the last 100 years.  It sparked some considerable controversy at the time of publishing.
